Julia Kotlarsky

 
 

My research and consultancy  work revolves around outsourcing and offshoring of services, globally distributed teams, knowledge coordination, and innovation. Before joining Aston Business School in 2012 I was Associate Professor at Warwick Business School and held a visiting position with Vrije University (Amsterdam) between 2008 and 2011. I hold PhD from Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, The Netherlands.

I am acting as Senior Editor for Journal of Information Technology and Associate Editor for MIS Quarterly.

My work was published in numerous journal including MIS Quarterly, The Wall Street Journal, Communications of the ACM, European Journal of Information Systems, Journal of Information Technology, Journal of Strategic Information Systems and others. I published 12 books, among them  “The Handbook of Global Outsourcing and Offshoring” which is widely adopted for teaching and among bestsellers on Amazon. 

I have extensive experience

teaching modules related to

outsourcing and offshoring

on MBA and Master levels and

on various executive courses.



In 2007 with two colleagues

we founded the

Global Sourcing Workshop

and since then we run it

annually, now in its 12th year.
